Reflection

This is all my work this semester. It took a whole semester, and too many things happened in the middle. I was isolated from a third country and came to UQ. Then I encountered the online course for the first time. In the face of the adjustment of the whole course, I persisted in the end to the end. This process is really an unforgettable memory.

For my prototype, although I have done a lot, I am also relatively satisfied with the current stage and the degree to which it can now be achieved, but there are still many areas for improvement that can be better, but it has not been achieved for various reasons. My expectations.

Expectations for appearance:

In fact, the design of the exterior is the part that I want to focus on every time, because as a student majoring in design, I have a certain pursuit of the appearance of each product. For the appearance design of this prototype, I There are many regrets. The 3D printing technology I most want to use has not been used. If it can be used, my prototype can achieve a better appearance. For example, the balance board can be used for 3D printing technology. In addition, because of the inability to go to school, I had some software that could not be used well at the beginning. Either my computer could not run, or the software was too expensive.

Functional expectations:

In fact, with regard to functional expectations, if I can have more time to contact Tutor every week and ask them for help, maybe my prototype will do more smoothly. Because this is my first time using Ardunino, almost all the knowledge is learned from it, which slows down a lot of progress.

Because my Unity is not very skilled, C# is not very proficient, I am not very satisfied with the setting of the timer in my prototype, according to my expectations, it can be a good cooperation with all parts, linkage distance sensor and acceleration It’s a perfect match, but when I tried to build the early part, there were too many bugs, such as the loss of most functions, and even the rebuilding of the entire Unity part, so I don’t discard this. section. In addition, my expectation is that it can play a more striking reminder function for the use of the reminder light. However, due to the limitations of the parts and the unskilled Arduino programming, I did not do this part well. For the most important part of the balance ball game, I originally expected to make a game that allows users to stand on it to find balance, but considering that the game should allow users to use it directly and it has certain risks, there is no formal Implement this part. In addition, the part of the game should be connected wirelessly using Bluetooth instead of the current wired connection, but using Bluetooth connection on the Arduino is too complicated, and this idea I tried to join in the end, so the time is limited.

Expectations for teamwork:

For me, it is undoubtedly the biggest regret that I did not cooperate well with the team this semester. We could have produced a project together, but now we have to make a personal project. There is also a lack of collision of ideas and a lot of wonderful ideas arising therefrom.

Human value and user experience:

My project can meet my initial expectations of human value and user experience. My concept is that the body acts as a controller, and the problem area of ​​our group is to relieve the pressure of our target users through exercise. First of all, my project has a certain exercise effect, because the user needs to maintain a semi-squat posture when playing the game, and then stretch his arms to play the game. After the actual test, this can indeed achieve a certain exercise effect. My entire design process is followed by the design process. Every step of the design is based on the user. This allows me to reflect the value of each individual step.

Because my design philosophy is from the user's perspective, you may improve the user experience, so from the initial selection of target users, we have made a lot of effort, the reason for choosing the group of college students is because this is our most I can get a lot of data efficiently from the familiar groups and make better evaluation. From the determination of the target user at the beginning, every step I have done revolves around them, from studying at the desk for a long time will bring them pressure, to a simple exercise game to help our goal Users relieve stress. Every step of design improvement reflects my emphasis on user experience.
