Lome is an interactive flower which can help users to communicate, share and regulate emotions. The initial state of LOME has green and red LED lights in five petals and the purpose is let users to realise two states of the flower. In most occasions, green means safe and red means danger, anger or emergency. In this design, green represents positive feedback received from users and red represents negative complaining or speech. In average, five to ten key negative words detected by flower can turn one piece of petal to red. When overwhelming complaints recorded and the whole flower becomes red, users can take one piece of petal out the flower and then place it besides a green bud. The action of taking one petal is to allow users release negative energy. However, users can place the petal back to flower to reset it to green colour. By repeating doing so, users can achieve a green flower.
